The inauguration of President Barack Obama was witnessed by millions of people yesterday, whether by television, radio, internet or in person. A perhaps little known fact about this inauguration is that the official invitation to this historic event was printed on Neenah Paper, CLASSIC CREST(R) Papers Recycled 100 Natural White, which also happens to be Processed Chlorine Free (PCF).

To be PCF, papers must contain a minimum 30 per cent post-consumer content and may not include chlorine or chlorine compounds in the papermaking process.

On its website, Neenah Fine Paper comments on how paper has always played an important role in history and how the paper chosen for this occasion is in keeping with President Obama’s green leanings.

With more than 1 million inaugural invitations engraved and printed, most will be undoubtedly saved as keepsakes, this environmental choice has made an impact.
